It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing my retirement from active practice, effective September 1, 2025. It has been a great pleasure providing for your health care needs over the years.
I recommend looking for a new physician as soon as possible. Your medical records are confidential, and a copy can be transferred to another doctor or released to you or another person you designate only through your permission. Please download, print, and sign the authorization form found on our website at www.capecardiology.com and return it to my office as soon as possible so we may transfer your records to your new doctor. Until then, your records will remain on file at my office.

An echocardiogram is one of the many diagnostic tests interpreted by our practice and our cardiologists. Utilizing ultrasound to provide two- and three-dimensional images of your cardiovascular system, an echocardiogram measures blood velocity through your body, assesses the function of your heart muscle and detects damage to your heart and problems with your heart valves.
Myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) is the most widely used nuclear cardiology technique that deals with the assessment of blood flow to the heart (the myocardium). In this procedure, a radioactive tracer is injected into the bloodstream and the heart function is analyzed by the doctor using a scanner called a SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) camera.
An electrocardiogram (EKG/ECG) test is a simple, painless procedure that measures electrical signals in your heart. It is a simple test that we perform many times a day every day to most patients who walk through our doors. ECGs are an easy way to see how fast and how strong your heart is beating.
